There are numerous PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) operated centers throughout Brisbane that offer dive services in Moreton Bay. Moreton Bay is a great place to have your diving adventure as the temperatures allow for diving year round.

One of the most popular diving locations in Brisbane is Tangalooma Wrecks, on the western side of Moreton Island. This dive stop has fifteen underwater vessels that attract marine life of all kinds. While exploring this underwater ares you will have the privilege of observing numerous wobbegings, trevally, king fish and tropical fish of various kinds. This is also an excellent spot for drift diving due to the strong currents in the area.

The next area of interest is the Curtin Artificial Reef, just north of Moreton Bay. This is a great destination to dive at, and is favored by those with intermediate qualifications. Dive depth in this area range from 12 meters to 30 meters and is complete with large vessels, cars, tires and pontoons. These items have all been placed her by the Underwater Research Group of Queensland, and also attracts a variety of wonderful marine life. All underwater objects are completely safe for dives to explore.

The Mantra Ray Bommie, located off the southern end of North Stradbroke Island is a fantastic reef dive. The Rocky area offers dives from five meters to fifteen meters deep and as the name suggests, it is a popular spot for manta rays. Other regulars are leopard Sharks, shovel nose rays, wobbegings sharks, stingray, eagle rays and turtle.

Other areas that are great for diving fun include: Flinders Reef, Brisbane only true coral reef; Flat Rock, just of of the north east tip of Stradbroke Island. It's a great place to see turtle, eagle rays reef fish and more. This location is also know as "Shark Alley" since it is most famous for the grey nurse shark that gather in the winter time.
